Penflex Art Competition – Terms and Conditions

To help pass the time during lockdown – we’ve launched an Art Competition! We’re giving away a Penflex stationery hamper to 10 artists who submit their artworks made using Penflex products and are selected by our panel of judges. Please submit your art in a comment on the Facebook post which is pinned to the top of our newsfeed, or on Instagram by using the Hashtag #PenflexArt. The picture of your artwork needs to contain the Penflex products that you used in creating the artwork. The competition closes on 30 April 2020 and the following terms and conditions apply.

The promoter of this competition is Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd, with business address 14 Silverstone Road, Killarney Gardens 7441 Cape Town.
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram or Facebook.
The competition is open to any live, natural person resident in South Africa, excluding employees (and their immediate families) of the promoter, its agents or anyone connected with the administration of this competition.
Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to cancel, suspend or amend the rules, terms and conditions of this competition at any time without prior notice.
The competition period will run from 1 April to 30 April 2020. The winners will be announced on 8 May 2019.
In the event of any dispute relating to this competition, the decision of Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into with a participant.
By participating in the competition, you agree to release and hold Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd harmless from any and all losses, harm, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind in connection with the promotion or special offer or resulting from the participation in such promotion, including, without limitation, personal injuries, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
In the event where the competition is cancelled or suspended all participants agree to waive any rights that they may have in terms of the competition and acknowledge that they have no recourse against Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd, their employees, agents, partners, suppliers, sponsors or promoters.
Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd and its sub-contractors are not responsible for lost, delayed, misdirected, unintelligible or incomplete electronic mail, telephone, post, electronic hardware and software programs, network, internet and computer malfunctions, delays, failures and difficulties, errors in transmission or any condition caused by events beyond the control of Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd, which may cause the promotion to be disrupted or corrupted.
You can enter the competition, during the competition period, by submitting your artwork as a comment on the Facebook post announcing the competition that is pinned to the top of the Penflex Facebook news feed for the duration of the competition. On Instagram you can post your artwork with the hashtag #PenflexArt to enter. All pictures should include the Penflex products used to create the artwork.
The judges may, at their discretion, request to see the original artwork and for the entrant to send it to Alplas Plastics (pty) Ltd.
Prizes: 10 hampers of assorted Penflex stationery valued at approximately R1 000, one each to a single winner.
Winners will be selected by a panel of judges.
Winners will be notified directly.
The redeemable period of the prize is 3 (three) days. If after 3 (three) days, the winner has not claimed the prize, we will select another winner. The second winner will also be given 3 (three) days to claim the prize; after which if no response is received, the prize will be forfeit.
All prizes will be delivered to the winners in a manner determined by the promoter.
Prizes are non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.
Winners may be asked to take part in reasonable publicity relating to this competition including but not limited to the use of the winning pictures in advertising campaigns.
Winners hereby agree to allow Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd to use their artworks on Penflex promotional material including but not limited to stands and products cards. Alplas Plastics (Pty) Ltd will at its discretion refer to the winners in the promotional material.
